Methacrylic Acid(MMA)

· Methyl methacrylate, an organic compound with the chemical formula C4H6O2, is a colorless crystalline powder or colorless transparent liquid. It dissolves in water, ethanol, ether, and most organic solvents, serving as an important organic chemical raw material and an intermediate for polymers.

A key monomer for producing polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA, acrylic glass), which is widely used in construction, lighting, and automotive parts. It is also used to synthesize resins, adhesives, and coatings with excellent weather resistance and adhesion. Additionally, it finds applications in textile finishing, water treatment agents, and the production of ion exchange resins.
