Butyl Acrylate

· Butyl  acrylate,  also known as 2-butyl  acrylate  and n-butyl acrylate, is a colorless  liquid with the molecular formula C7H12O2. The chemical category is acryloyl compounds. Almost insoluble in water, with toxicity similar to methyl  acrylate.  Irritating to  the  skin  and  eyes.  Soluble  in  organic solvents such as ethanol, ether, acetone, etc.

Butyl acrylate is a colorless liquid. It is soluble in organic solvents and hardly soluble in water.

Butyl acrylate is mainly used for making synthetic resins, synthetic fibers, synthetic rubber, plastics, coatings, adhesives, and so on.
